Knightmare Frames
The main artilary in Code Geass, that makes up for that mecha side of the series. Knightmare Frames were developed by the Britannian Empire for (as we've seen) combat. They are humanoid weapsons (mobile in a human way) and since their development have pretty much replaced the use of normal tanks and such. As seen in the very first episode of Code Geass, Knightmares were first sed was during Britannia's invasion and conquer of Japan. Features: By using self-propelled wheels that work like roller skates/blades, Knightmares can reach high speeds, and can be incrediblely mobile despite its size. Each Knightmare is also equipped with a 'factsphere' (the little camera sensor in the frame) that is used to obtain visuals of its surroundings. These cameras are commonly located on the head or torso of the frame. The cockpit of a frame (which gives it a protruding humpback) can also be ejected by the pilot in case there is an emergency or when the frame is about to explode. Equipped with parachutes, the ejecting feature of the cockpit helps to increase the lifespan of a soldier to decrease the number of casaulties in the battlefield. Upon ejection the 'overseeing control center' recieves a signal on the Overmap notfiying them of the ejected pilot. The map also shows a 'signal lost' when a frame has been destroyed. All these functions are run on the power souce of the frame which, for older models, were commonly a Yggdrasil drive (sp?). However, more recent models (such as Lancelot) run on Coalminus-rich Sakuradite. Weapons: Standard Knightmare Frames will usually have handheld rifles, shoulder/wrist mounted Slask Harkens (these are wired rocket anchors that in a way, resemble a hookshot xD), Stun Toufas (sp? I can't exactly remember what that was), (a) Lance(s) and airburst hand grenades. |
